Vijaya College Placements

The Placement and Career Counselling cell has been set up in the college for the benefit of the students. The Cell’s primary objective is to provide the much-needed life skills to students and help them to find job placements. The Cell’s activities were initiated by Prof. Rajagopala Sastry, Dept. of commerce and Prof. H.S.Balakrishna, Dept. of physics during 2005-06. They are succeeded by Dr.A.S.Govind and Prof. S.Sundareshan, Dept of physics. To keep pace with the present stiff competition, the placement cell has undertaken several measures like organising seminars, mock interviews, soft skills, communicative skills, personality development, corporate culture/etiquette and leadership skills to the final year students. These programs are conducted by distinguished personalities in the field. The college has integrated the Career Counselling with the Placement cell. The Cell offers guidance to students regarding different path ways in higher education and other career opportunities apart from placement support.
