All admissions to Periyar University are entrance-based and merit-based. Most UG, PG and doctoral courses have their own entrance exams. Some also accept state/national-level entrance scores. You can follow the steps below:

Applicants must go to the official site and complete the application form online. The documents required should be uploaded, and the application fee must be paid using the given payment gateway. The filled form should be printed out and saved to be referred to later.
Selection Rounds
For MBA, applicants are considered on the basis of TANCET, MAT, CAT or the Department of Management Studies exam and then GD and PI.

Release and Counselling of Merit List
Periyar University publishes course-wise merit lists after the selection rounds. The shortlisted candidates have to attend the counselling process by the respective departments. The final seat assignment will be done after the candidates pay the Periyar University admission fee and verify their documents.

Periyar University infrastructure consists of world-class classrooms, laboratories, a library, hostels, and cafeterias. The university’s campus spans over 140 acres, comprising department
buildings, administrative offices, teaching and research laboratories, lecture halls, and outdoor facilities for students. Periyar University has 27 departments and 118 affiliated colleges.
Periyar University Hostel Facility
Periyar University has three separate hostels, one for boys – Adhiyaman Men Hostel – and two for girls: Periyar Maniyammai Women Hostel and New Women Hostel. Each hostel has basic furniture, a washroom, and a mess facility. The timings of the hostel for males and females are 10:30 and 6:30 PM, respectively. Periyar University hostels are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. The hostel facility is applicable for UG, PG, PhD and post-doctoral students. Periyar University boys’ hostel has a total intake capacity of 230, while for the girls’ hostel, the capacity is 600 (including 2 hostels). All the hostels of Periyar University have common facilities, such as an RO drinking water facility, hot & cold water supply, biogas plant, laundry facility, etc. It has a separate computer lab for the students residing in the hostel. The hostel campus also has the facility for both indoor and outdoor games. For the safety and security of the students, 24/7 CCTV surveillance is there.
